We as a collective fandom are quite small, and Monsta X underwent a pretty substantial change in style in 2016 that caused the fandom to shrink (no judgement, you gotta follow your music taste) so making a breakthrough on award shows has been extremely difficult. If you scroll through the comment section on any Monsta X blog post/MV/variety show, I guarantee you will read several comments stated along the lines of “Monsta X deserves their first win” and this is because despite debuting in 2015, the boys have yet to win an award on any music show. It takes a while for it to roll off the tongue but you’ll get it eventually, haha. It combines the ‘Mon’ of Monsta X with ‘bebe’ or ‘baby’ to create the idea that we are Monsta X’s babies. The fandom name is Monbebe (mon - bae - bae). The group debuted on 14th May, 2015, and the members were selected through the survival show NO.MERCY. MONSTA X consists of 7 members: Shownu, Jooheon, Wonho, Kihyun, Minhyuk, Hyungwon and I.M. This is the first segment of my “Full Guide To Stanning” series, and today I will be introducing you to Monsta X!!! I posted a poll on both KA and K-Tastic and collectively the votes showed you guys were most interested in Day6 and MX.
